செய்முறை:

மிளகு, சீரகம், துவரம்பருப்பு, தனியா முதலியவைகளை வெறும் சட்டியில் வறுத்து, பொடித்து வைத்துக் கொள்ளவும்.

புளிக்கரைசலில் உப்பு, ரசப்பொடி, பச்சை மிளகாய் சேர்த்து நன்றாகக் கொதிக்க விடவும். இதில் வறுத்து பொடித்தப் பொடி, புதினா ஆகியவற்றைச் சேர்க்கவும்.

வெந்த துவரம் பருப்பை இரண்டு டம்ளர் தண்ணீரில் கரைத்து கொதிக்கும் ரசத்தில் ஊற்றவும். பொங்கி, நுரைத்து வரும் போது, கீழே இறக்கி வைத்து நெய்யில், கடுகு தாளித்துக் கொட்டிப் பரிமாறவும்.

 மைக்ரோவேவ் மைசூர் பாக் செய்து பாருங்களேன்

தேவையான பொருட்கள்

கடலை மாவு - 300 கிராம்

நெய் - 300 கிராம்

சர்க்கரை - 200 கிராம்

தண்ணீர் - 200 மிலி

முந்திரிப் பருப்பு - 50 கிராம்

பேக்கிங் சோடா - வேண்டுமென்றால் 1 சிட்டிகை


செய்முறை

1. கடலை மாவையும், பேக்கிங் சோடாவையும் நன்கு சலித்தெடுத்துக் கொண்டு அதை நெய்யை உருக்கிக் கொண்டு அதில் சேர்த்து பிசைந்து கொள்ளவும்.

2. சர்க்கரைப் பாகை இரண்டு கம்பி பாகு பதத்திற்குச் செய்து அதை சிறிது சிறிதாக கடலைமாவில் விட்டு திக்கான பேஸ்ட் போன்ற கலவையாக்கவும்.

3. பின் சிறு சிறு மைக்ரோவேவ் ( ஐஸ் கியூப் ) பாத்திரத்தில் நெய் தடவி கடலை மாவு கலவையால் நிரப்பவும்.

4. 1½ நிமிடத்திற்கு சாதாரண நார்மலான பவரில் ( மின்சாரத்தில் ) பேக் செய்யவும்.

5. பேக் செய்து முடித்தவுடன் அதை 4 அல்லது 5 நிமிடத்திற்கு ஆற விடவும். பின் அதை பாத்திரத்திலிருந்து எடுத்து வைக்கவும்.

6. ஒரு பெரிய பாத்திரத்தில் திரும்பவும் அந்த மைசூர் பாக்குகளை வைத்து 1/2 நிமிடத்திற்கு பேக் பண்ணினால், சூடான, சுவையான மைசூர் பாக் தயார்.

மழை - யாரும் ரசிக்காத நிகழ்வு

மழை - ஒரு அற்புதமான நிகழ்வு. பால்யத்தில் இருந்தே மழை ரசித்தல் பெரும்பாலும் எல்லாருக்கும் பிடித்திருந்து இருக்கிறது. ஈரமான மழைக்காலங்களில் சின்ன சின்ன சந்தோஷங்கள், சில் குளிரும் சிலுசிலுக்கும் காற்றும் தரும் சுகம் வேறு எந்த கால நிலையிலும் வரும் என்ற நினைவில்லை எனக்கு. வருங்காலங்களில் மழை ரசித்தல் இல்லாமலேயே போய்விடும் என்ற நிலையை இன்றைய சூழ்நிலைகள் உருவாக்குகின்றன என்பது என் கருத்து.

சரியான சாக்கடை வசதிகள் இல்லாமை, தேங்கி நிற்க்கும் தண்ணீரில் உண்டாகும் கொசுக்களும், நோய்களும், சிறு தூறல் விழுந்தாலே 40 ரூபாய்க்கு 80 ரூபாய் கேட்க்கும் இரட்டை வாடகை ஆட்டோகாரர்கள், தண்ணீரில் நிற்க்கும் வாகனத்தை தள்ள கூட காசு கேட்கும் மக்கள், எல்லா ஏரிகளும் குளங்களும் வீடுகளாகிவிட்ட நிலையில் இடுப்பு அளவு தண்ணீரில் வாழும் தாழ்ந்த நில மக்கள், இத்தனை கண்டும் ஒன்றும் செய்யாத அரசாங்கம், ஏதாவது செய்ய முயற்சிப்பவர்களையும் புரிந்து கொள்ளாமல் புறம் தள்ளும் மக்கள் சமுதாயம்...

மழை கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக ஒரு வெறுக்கதக்க நிகழ்வாகி கொண்டு வருகிறது. உழவனை பற்றியும், காய்ந்து கிடக்கும் தாவரங்களை பற்றியும், வற்றி கொண்டு இருக்கும் நிலத்தடி நீர் பற்றியும், தாகத்தில் தவிக்கும் பறவைகளையும் மிருகங்களையும் பற்றி யாரும் கவலை படுவதில்லை.
எல்லாருக்கும் தங்கள் அலுவகநேரங்கள் தவறுவதிலேயே கவனம் இருக்கிறது. இயந்தரதனமான வாழ்வில் மழை ரசித்தல் முட்டாள்தனமானது என்ற கருத்து பெரும்பாலும் இருக்கிறது. வீட்டில் இருந்தாலும் தொலைகாட்சியில் மூழ்ங்கி இருக்கிறார்கள்.

யாரையும் எதுவும் சொல்ல முடியாது. இது இன்றைய வாழ்விற்க்கு நாம் கொடுக்கும் விலை. எனினும் ஒருமுறையாவது மழை ரசித்து பாருங்கள். ஏதும் விலை கிடையாது அதற்க்கு.

மொழி - ஒரு அடையாளம்

என் மொழி எது என்ற அடையாள குழப்பம் இன்னும் இருப்பதாகவே உணர்கிறேன். எழுத்தா ஓவியமா என்ற குழப்பம் இன்னும் என்னுள் இருக்கிறது. கவிதைகளோ கட்டுரைகளோ இன்னும் எந்த ஒரு வடிவையும் கொண்டவையாக மாறவில்லை - அவை இன்னும் என் முதல்வடிவ முறையிலேதான் இருக்கின்றது. ஓவியமும் எந்த குறிப்பிட்ட முறையையும் கொண்டிருக்கவில்லை. என் ஓவியங்கள் பெரும்பாலும் என் வழிமுறையிலேயே இருந்தாலும், அவை நான் பார்த்த ஓவியங்களின் முறைகளையும், எண்ணங்களையும் அடிப்படையாக கொண்டது என்பது மறுக்க முடியாத உண்மை. தேர்ந்த வடிவங்கள் சார்ந்த ஓவியங்களை படைக்கும் அளவுக்கும் எனக்கு அது கைவரவில்லை. என் ஓவியங்கள் விஷயம்
சொல்கிறது - ஆனால் மிக தெளிவாக சொன்னதில்லை - என் கவிதைகளை போலவே அது மிக சிலருக்கு மட்டும் அனுபவங்களால் உணரபடுகிறது.

கவிதைகளிலும் எழுத்துகளில் இதே அனுபவம் சார்த்த தாக்கம் இருக்கிறது. என்னுள் இறக்கும் அனுபவங்கள் மட்டுமே என்னில் இருந்து வெளிப்படுகின்றன. இந்த கருத்தை ஏன் என் கவிதைகள் சொல்வதில்லை, ஏன் என் ஓவியங்கள் சொல்லவில்லை என்ற கேள்விகள் என் பதில்களுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவை. பொதுவில் இத்தகைய பொது முறையற்ற - அல்லது என் முறைகொண்ட எழுத்துகளும் ஓவியங்களும் என் மொழியாக கொள்கிறேன். இசை என்னும் பொது மொழி எனக்கு புரிகிறது. இசையும் கவிதைகளும் ஓவியமும் கொண்ட என் மொழி - என் அனுபவ கலாச்சாரத்தில் இருந்து வெளிப்படும்போது - அதனை எல்லாருக்கும் புரிய வைக்க வேண்டிய தேவை இருக்கிறதா என தெரியவில்லை. புரியாத மொழி உதவாது என கொண்டால் - புரிந்த மொழிகள் என்ன உதவியிருக்கிறன...?

அரசியல்வாதிகளின் பொய்

ஒரு தடவை அரசியல்வாதிகள் எல்லோரும் ஒரு பேருந்தில் சுற்றுலா சென்றனர். எதிர்பாராதவிதமாக பேருந்து விபத்துக்குள்ளானது. கிராமத்து ஆள் ஒருவர் இறந்தவர்களின் உடல்களை எல்லாம் அடக்கம் செய்தார். சில நாட்கள் கழித்து விபத்து குறித்து விசாரிக்க வந்த காவல் துறையினர், கிராமத்து ஆளை கண்டுபிடித்து கேள்விகள் கேட்டனர்.‘இறந்து விட்டார்கள் என்பதை உறுதிபடுத்திவிட்டுதான் அவர்களை புதைத்தாயா?’‘இல்லை. நாங்கள் உயிருடன் தான் இருக்கிறோம் என்று சிலர் கூறினார்கள். ஆனால் நம்ம அரசியல்வாதிகளைப் பற்றித்தான் தெரியுமே! எப்போதும் பொய் சொல்பவர்கள் தானே என்று அவர்களையும் சேர்த்து புதைத்துவிட்டேன்’

சர்தார்ஜியின் மனைவி
ஒரு சர்தார்ஜிக்கு 6 குழந்தைகள். அது குறித்து அவருக்கு எப்போதும் ஒரே பெருமைதான். தன் மனைவியைக் கூப்பிடும்போதெல்லாம், ‘ஆறு குழந்தைகளின் அம்மாவே’ என்றுதான் கூப்பிடுவார். அது அவளுக்குப் பிடிப்பதேயில்லை. ஒரு நாள் சர்தார்ஜி குடும்பத்தோடு ஒரு பார்ட்டிக்குக் கிளம்பினார். சர்தார்ஜியின் மனைவி நெடுநேரமாக அலங்காரம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார். பொறுமையிழந்த சர்தார்ஜி, ‘ஆறு குழந்தைகளின் அம்மாவே! கிளம்பலாமா?” என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவரது மனைவி கூறினார், “நான்கு குழந்தைகளின் அப்பாவே! கிளம்பலாம்


ஒரு ரயில் விபத்தும்
சர்தார்ஜியும்நூற்றுக்கும் மேலானோர் இறந்த ஒரு ரயில் விபத்து குறித்து, விபத்தில் உயிர் பிழைத்த ஒரே ஒருவரும், ரயிலின் ஓட்டுனருமான சர்தார்ஜியிடம் விசாரணை நடந்தது. விபத்துக்கு என்ன காரணம்? என்று நீதிபதி கேட்டார். தண்டவாளத்தில் நடந்து போய்க்கொண்டிருந்த ஒருவன் தான் காரணம் என்று சர்தார்ஜி சொல்லவே, நீதிபதி கடும் கோபம் கொண்டார். அந்த ஒருவனுக்காகவா இவ்வளவு பேரையும் கொன்றாய்?. நியாயப்படி நீ அவனைத் தான் கொன்றிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று நீதிபதி சொல்லவே, சர்தார்ஜி சொன்னார். நீதிபதி அவர்களே, நானும் அவனைக் கொல்லவே முடிவெடுத்தேன், ரயில் பக்கத்தில் வந்த உடன் அவன் தண்டவாளத்தை விட்டு இறங்கி சென்றுவிட்டான். நான் விட வில்லை நடுவர் அவர்களே, ரயிலை தண்டவாளத்தை விட்டு இறக்கி நியாப்படி அவனைத்தான் கொன்றேன். மற்றபடி விபத்துக்கு அவன் தான் காரணம் என்றார்.


சர்தார்ஜியும் சீன நண்பரும்
சர்தார்ஜி ஒரு முறை அவருடைய சீன நண்பரைப் பார்த்து நலம் விசாரிப்பதற்காக மருத்துவமனைக்குச் சென்றார். சீன நண்பர் சர்தார்ஜியிடம் “சிங் சங் சும் சாம் சிங்” என்று சொல்லி இறந்துவிட்டார். சர்தார்ஜிக்கு சீன மொழி தெரியாது என்பதால், சீன நண்பர் சொன்ன இரகசியத்தின் அர்த்தத்தை தெரிந்து கொள்ள சீனா புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார். நண்பர் சொன்ன இரகசியத்தின் அர்த்தம் தெரிந்தவுடன் சர்தார்ஜி அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்தார். அதன் அர்த்தம் இது தான். “டேய் சனியனே, ஆக்ஸிஜன் குழாயிலிருந்து உன் காலை எடு


ஒரு சர்தாஜி ரயிலிலிருந்து தண்ணீர் பிடிக்க இற்ங்கினார். சில நிமிடங்களில் ரயில் கூவிவிட்டது. டக்குன்னு தான் வந்த ரயில் இது தானா என கூட யோசிக்காமல் பெட்டியில் ஏறிவிட்டார். கொஞ்சம் தண்ணீர் குடித்துவிட்டு, பர்த்தில் ஏறி படுத்து விட்டார். சிறிது நேரம் கழித்து கீழ் பர்த்திலிருந்த்வரிடம், அவர் எங்கு போகிறார் என விசாரித்தார்.அவர் சொன்ன ஊரின் பேரைக் கேட்டவுடன், சர்தாஜி மெய்சிலிர்த்துப் போய், ஆஹா என்னமா நமது ரயில்வே துறை வேலை செய்யுது. நான் போற டில்லி வண்டிலேயெ மேல் பர்த் டெல்லிக்கும், கீழ் பர்த்து மெட்றாஸுக்கும் போகிற வண்டி உட்ருக்காங்கன்னுட்டு தூங்க ஆரம்பித்து விட்டாராம்.



சர்தார்ஜி தன் மகனை கூட்டிக் கொண்டு, டாக்டரைப் பார்க்கச் சென்றார். என்ன ஆச்சு என்று டாக்டர் கேட்டார். "பையன் பெட்டி சாவியை விழுங்கி விட்டான்! அதை நீங்க தான் எடுக்க வேண்டும்!" என்றார் சர்தார். டாக்டர் பையனை வாயை நன்றாக திறக்க சொன்னார். லைட்டெல்லாம் அடித்துப் பார்த்தார். எப்போது முழுங்கினார் என்று சர்தார்ஜியை கேட்டார். மூன்று மாதம் தான் ஆச்சு என்றார் சர்தார். "என்னது மூன்று மாசமா?, இத்தனை நாள் என்ன பண்ணிகிட்டிருந்தீங்க?" என்று டாக்டர் கோபமாகக் கேட்டார். இத்தனை நாள் இரண்டாவது சாவியை உபயோகப்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தேன் என்றார் சர்தார்ஜி கூலாக.


ஒரு சர்தார்ஜி விமானத்தில் போய்க்கொண்டிருந்தார். திடீரென விமான இயந்திரத்தில் கோளாறு ஏற்பட்டதாக கேப்டனிடம் இருந்து அறிவிப்பு வந்தது. எல்லா பயணிகளும் பதறியடித்து பயத்தோடு அவரவர் கடவுளைப் பிரார்த்தித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.சர்தார்ஜி மட்டும் எந்த டென்ஷனும் இல்லாமல் ஜாலியாக புத்தகம் படித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். பக்கத்தில் இருந்த பயணி சர்தார்ஜியைப் பார்த்து, “என்னாங்க... எல்லோரும் சாகப் போகிறோமே... உங்களுக்கு உயிர் மேல பயமே இல்லையா?” என்று கேட்டார்.“நான் சாகப் போறதில்லே... நம்ம பல்வீர்சிங்தான் சாகப்போகிறார்...” என்றார் சர்தார்ஜிபக்கத்து சீட்காரருக்கு ஒன்றுமே புரியவில்லை. “எப்படி? என்னா சொல்றீங்க நீங்க?” என்றார்.“உண்மையில் இது பல்வீர்சிங்கோட டிக்கெட்... அதில் நான் பயணம் செய்கிறேன்... அவ்வளவுதான்!” என்று சிரித்தார் சர்தார்ஜி.


சர்தார்ஜி முதல் நாள் இரவில் தான் கண்ட கனவைப் பற்றி மறுநாள் காலையில் தன் மனைவியிடம் விளக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.“அடியேய்... நானும், நீயும் அமெரிக்காவுக்குப் போய், நிறைய இடங்களைப் பார்த்து பரவசம் அடைந்த மாதிரி ஒரு கனவு வந்தது” என்றார் சர்தார்ஜி.அதைக் கேட்ட அவரது மனைவி, “அப்படியா... எங்கெங்கே போனோம்? என்னென்ன பார்த்தோம்னு சொல்லுங்களேன்...” என்றாள்.அதற்கு சர்தார்ஜி, “என்னடி தெரியாத மாதிரி கேட்குறே..? நீயும்தானே என்கூட வந்தே?” என்றார் கோபமாக!


ஒரு சர்தார்ஜிக்கு இடக்கை துண்டாகி விட்டது.ஒரே கையோடு போய்க் கொண்டிருந்தார்.அவரைப்பார்த்த அவர் நண்பர் "என்ன பல்பீர்?எப்படி இப்படி ஆச்சு? என்று கேட்டார்."பேக்டரியில் வேலை செய்தபோது மிஷின் கையை வெட்டி விட்டது" என்றார் பல்பீர். "நல்லவேளை.இடக்கை போனது.வலக்கை போயிருந்தால் மிகவும் கஷ்டப்பட்டிருப்பாய்!" என்றார் அந்த நண்பர் "வலக்கை தான் துண்டாக இருந்தது. நான் கடைசி நிமிடத்தில் மிஷின் இறங்குவதை கவனித்து வலக்கையை எடுத்து விட்டு இடது கையை வைத்தேன்." என பெருமையுடன் சொன்னார் பல்பீர்!!!

Megapixels
New cameras come in a variety of megapixels, these days 3 to 8 megapixels are very common. Most people think that a higher megapixel camera means a clearer picture, and although that is true to some extent, it only really matters when you enlarge a picture, it is not necessarily true if you are only printing out 4X6 photo?s. A picture taken with a 3 megapixel camera will look just as good to the human eye as any other. So if you do not intend to print out poster size prints, then an 8 megapixel camera may be beyond your needs.

If you are into scrapbooking, or photo-editing, however you may want to consider a higher megapixel camera, because the picture will stay clearer when you crop out a small piece and enlarge it.

The trade off to a higher megapixel camera is a larger file size per photo. In other words each picture will take up more space on a memory card resulting in the card filling up faster.

Zoom
Most cameras have two types of zoom, the first is called Optical Zoom, and is the better of the two. Optical zoom is the lens mechanism moving in and out, giving the appearance of a close up. This is the type of zoom you should be more concerned with. Most cameras come with between 3X and 12X Optical Zoom. A higher optical zoom requires a larger lens size, so a camera with 10X or 12X zoom will probably not fit in your pocket.

The second type of zoom is the Digital Zoom. What happens here is this, when the optical zoom is maxed out, the digital zoom takes over by pushing the picture a little closer by expanding the size of the megapixels. This can compromise on the overall clarity of the picture making it look fuzzy or pixilated. Pretty much all cameras have some sort of digital zoom, and less expensive cameras may have no optical zoom at all, but the digital zoom will be there. The clarity difference is less obvious in a higher megapixel camera.

Memory (Flash) Card
When you buy a digital camera you should also be prepared to buy a memory card. Although most cameras come with either a small card or a small amount of internal memory to store pictures on, many will not hold more then 10 or 15 pictures.

Memory cards have come way down in price these days. It is possible, if you watch the sales fliers, to get a 1 gigabyte card for around $20 bucks.

With a 3 megapixel camera, a 1 gigabyte card will hold over 800 pictures. That number goes lower with a higher megapixel camera.


Batteries
Another important factor in choosing a camera will be what you want to use for batteries. Some camera?s come with a specialized rechargeable battery pack that is designed specifically for that camera. These particular cameras will also come with a charger. Others take AA batteries, however digital cameras are high drain devices, so alkaline batteries don?t tend to last very long in them. Most manufacturers will include a complimentary set of alkaline, but don?t expect them to last very long as many cameras can kill a set of these batteries in 5 or 6 pictures. It would be more beneficial and much less costly to purchase a set of NiMH batteries with a charger for around $30 bucks. These last longer and usually come in packs of four, giving you an extra set to take pictures with.

Many cameras offer a way to lessen the drain on the batteries, by switching off the LCD screen and using the view finder.

Lag Time
For most people, a simple ?point and shoot? camera is adequate. Many easily fit in your pocket, and they take great pictures close up. Cameras with a larger optical zoom tend to be larger, and would not fit in your shirt pocket. If you intend to take pictures at your kids basketball game, you may want to consider one of these, not only for the higher zoom resulting in more of a close-up shot, but many of these larger cameras decrease the shutter time. Many of the smaller cameras have a lag time of up to a second between the time you press the button and the time the picture is actually taken. A second can be an eternity at any sporting event.

Photo Editing Software
There is also a range of photo editing software available, the most popular being Adobe?s Photoshop Elements. However there are many other titles available that you may be perfectly happy with, including the less expensive Photo Explosion and Microsoft Digital Image.

Many of these software titles give you the ability to enhance photos as well as a range of creative endeavors from making greeting cards to calendars etc.

Photo Printers
Many new inkjet printers are photo quality, and you would never be able to tell the difference between one from your own printer and one from your local photo shop.

There are now also portable photo printers such as the Epson Picture Mate and Kodak Easy Share which are not inkjet printers, but instead complete photo labs in a small package. These use a dye-sublimation process to print your pictures. The benefit to these is mobility, and the claim is that your pictures will last over a hundred years in a photo album.

Other then that, be sure to read user reviews on any model you would consider purchasing. If some are problematic, people will talk about the defects, ease of use, clarity of pictures, etc. This way you can be sure to get the right camera for your needs.

Tweak Your Xp - Fast Shutdown

I'm a bit busy lately.Don't have much time to post.Finally I have free time.And I want to share a bit on how you can Shutdown your computer faster than before.

By altering a few registry settings, you can decrease the amount of time taken for Windows to shut down. To do this, first open up the registry editor and navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\

Once there, find the value HungAppTimeout and make sure it is set to 5000 (that's the default). Now, in the same folder, look for the value WaitToKillAppTimeout. Set this to 4000 (the default is 20000).


Lastly, navigate to the folder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\

and change the value WaitToKillServiceTimeout to 4000 as well. Another thing that helps speeding up shutting down is going to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services and then setting the NVidia Driver Help service to Manual.

Backup Registry Before Too Late

All Windows stores its configuration information in a database called the registry. The registry is the central storage for all computer configuration data.

Although the registry appears to be in one file, it is actually placed on your computer in several files. Depending on your system configuration, registry files can be found in any of the following locations:

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\ on Windows 2000, XP.
C:\Windows\System32\Config\ on Windows 2000, XP.
C:\Windows\ on Windows 95, 98, ME.
C:\Windows\Profiles\ on Windows 95, 98, ME.

How To Back Up Windows Registry ?

In windows NT, 2000 and XP not possible to back up registry files while the operating system is running. Registry files remain fully locked all the time while Windows is running, But hereYou can use an integrated Windows XP's System Restore feature for registry backup.

But using registry editor (regedit.exe) you can to export partial or complete copies of the registry, while the Windows is up, and the exported files can then be backed up with any other traditional file backup utility. You can follow these simple steps to back up the whole registry or any particular registry subkey:

Click Start button and then type Regedit in Run option.

Locate and then click the root subkey that contains all the child subkeys and values that you want to back up.

On the File menu, click Export.

In the Save box, you can select the location where you want to save the Registration Entries (.reg) file, type a file name in the File name box, and then click Save.

The exported registry file is about 10-50 MB in size on a typical Windows NT/2000/XP installation.

கர்நாடக மாநிலத்தில் பெய்து வந்த தென்மேற்கு பருவ மழையால் மேட்டூர் அணைக்கு வரும் நீரின் அளவு நாளுக்கு நாள் அதிகரித்துக் கொண்டே வந்தது.

இதனால் மேட்டூர் அணையின் நீர்மட்டமும் உயர்ந்தது. இந்நிலையில் தற்போதும் மேட்டூர் அணைக்கு வரும் நீரின் வரத்து அதிகமாகவே இருக்கும் நிலையில் அணையின் நீர்மட்டம் 121,03 அடிக்கு உள்ளது. இது அணையின் அபாயகரமான நிலை என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

சென்னையில் மழை பெய்யும்

 சென்னை மற்றும் அதன் சுற்றுவட்டாரப் பகுதிகளில் இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்யும் என்று வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் கூறியுள்ளது.

தென்மேற்கு பருவமழை தொடங்கி விட்டதால் சென்னையில் அவ்வப்போது மழை பெய்து வருகிறது.

சென்னையில் கடந்த சில நாட்களாக பகலில் வெய்யிலும், இரவில் மழையுமாக இருந்து வந்தது.

தேயும் எலும்புகளும், தீர்வுகளும்...

உடலுக்கு வடிவத்தையும் வலுவையும் தருவது எலும்புகள் கொலாஜென் இழைகள் மற்றும் கால்சியம், பாஸ்பேட் ஆகியவற்றின் உப்புகளால் ஆனவை. எலும்புகள் இயல்பில் கடின தன்மையைத்தான் பெற்றுள்ளன. ஆனால் எலும்பு தேய்வு நோயில் எலும்புகள் தேய்ந்து பஞ்சைப் போன்று மென்மையாக மாறுகின்றன. இந்த நோயை, மருத்துவ உலகம் ஆஸ்டியோ போரோசிஸ் என்று அழைக்கின்றது.

‘எலும்புத் தேய்வு நோய்’ பிற நோய்களைப் போல அறிகுறிகளை வெளியே காட்டுவதில்லை. எனவேதான் இதை உடனடியாக கண்டறிய முடிவதில்லை. எலும்புகளில் உள்ள கால்சியம் சத்து எந்த விதமான அறிகுறிகளையும் காட்டாது குறைந்துவிடுகின்றது. இயல்பில் எலும்புகள் புதிதாக தோன்றும் பண்பைப் பெற்றுள்ளன. பழைய எலும்புகள் அகற்றப்பட்டு அதற்குப் பதிலாக புது எலும்புகள் உருவாவது நம்முடைய உடலில் தொடர்ந்து நடைபெறுகின்றது. உடல் இயக்கம் மற்றும் ஹார்மோன்கள் ஆகியவை எலும்புகள் தொடர்ந்து வளர்ந்திட உதவுகின்றன.

எலும்பு தேய்வு நோய் மரபு ரீதியாக வரும் சாத்தியக்கூறுகள் உள்ளன. சுண்ணாம்புச் சத்து அதிகம் உள்ள பொருட்களை நம்முடைய உணவில் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டால் எலும்பு தேய்வு நோய் வராமல் தடுக்கலாம்.

The Tampere University of Technology is working on machine washable and wirelessly rechargeable wearable technology.

They prototyped a Noise Shirt which has a microphone that measures the surrounding environments noise level and displays it as a vertical 5 step equalizer bar with the LEDs. Each LED marks a rise above a certain decibel level. The three lower LEDs go from 65dB to 84dB. The top two LEDs mark a noise level exceeding 85dB and 100dB. Continuous exposure exceeding 85dB is the limit set by the European Union for recommended use of hearing protection.



The device has a small battery with a wireless recharging induction loop in the neck tab. The garment is functional whenever charged and won’t require any user input.

The team created a special clothes hanger for wirelessly recharging the shirt. The hanger is shaped to make the shirt’s neck tab drape over the hanger neck, to make the two inductive coils meet.


The system takes about 3 hours to recharge the empty Lithium-polymer battery and depending on the amount of ambient noise the Noise Shirt will run from 2 to 4 hours.

The next step in the research is using wireless communications and a mobile user interface in order to access services and applications produced outside the garment.

Scientists at Sandia National Laboratory generated temperatures of greater than 2 billion degrees Kelvin, hotter than the interior of the sun. To do it, they fired up their Z Machine accelerator, seen here in operation, to produce incredibly hot plasmas. From the Sandia news release:
The unexpectedly hot output, if its cause were understood and harnessed, could eventually mean that smaller, less costly nuclear fusion plants would produce the same amount of energy as larger plants.

The phenomena also may explain how astrophysical entities like solar flares maintain their extreme temperatures.

The very high radiation output also creates new experimental environments to help validate computer codes responsible for maintaining a reliable nuclear weapons stockpile safely and securely — the principal mission of the Z facility.

“At first, we were disbelieving,” says Sandia project lead Chris Deeney. “We repeated the experiment many times to make sure we had a true result and not an ‘Ooops’!”

ARYABHATT (476 CE)

MASTER ASTRONOMER AND MATHEMATICIAN
Born in 476 CE in Kusumpur ( Bihar ), Aryabhatt's intellectual brilliance remapped the boundaries of mathematics and astronomy. In 499 CE, at the age of 23, he wrote a text on astronomy and an unparallel treatise on mathematics called "Aryabhatiyam." He formulated the process of calculating the motion of planets and the time of eclipses. Aryabhatt was the first to proclaim that the earth is round, it rotates on its axis, orbits the sun and is suspended in space - 1000 years before Copernicus published his heliocentric theory. He is also acknowledged for calculating p (Pi) to four decimal places: 3.1416 and the sine table in trigonometry. Centuries later, in 825 CE, the Arab mathematician, Mohammed Ibna Musa credited the value of Pi to the Indians, "This value has been given by the Hindus." And above all, his most spectacular contribution was the concept of zero without which modern computer technology would have been non-existent. Aryabhatt was a colossus in the field of mathematics.

BHASKARACHARYA II (1114-1183 CE)

GENIUS IN ALGEBRA

Born in the obscure village of Vijjadit (Jalgaon) in Maharastra, Bhaskaracharya's work in Algebra, Arithmetic and Geometry catapulted him to fame and immortality. His renowned mathematical works called "Lilavati" and "Bijaganita" are considered to be unparalled and a memorial to his profound intelligence. Its translation in several languages of the world bear testimony to its eminence. In his treatise " Siddhant Shiromani " he writes on planetary positions, eclipses, cosmography, mathematical techniques and astronomical equipment. In the " Surya Siddhant " he makes a note on the force of gravity: "Objects fall on earth due to a force of attraction by the earth. Therefore, the earth, planets, constellations, moon, and sun are held in orbit due to this attraction." Bhaskaracharya was the first to discover gravity, 500 years before Sir Isaac Newton . He was the champion among mathematicians of ancient and medieval India . His works fired the imagination of Persian and European scholars, who through research on his works earned fame and popularity.


ACHARYA KANAD (600 BCE)

FOUNDER OF ATOMIC THEORY
As the founder of " Vaisheshik Darshan "- one of six principal philosophies of India - Acharya Kanad was a genius in philosophy. He is believed to have been born in Prabhas Kshetra near Dwarika in Gujarat . He was the pioneer expounder of realism, law of causation and the atomic theory. He has classified all the objects of creation into nine elements, namely: earth, water, light, wind, ether, time, space, mind and soul. He says, "Every object of creation is made of atoms which in turn connect with each other to form molecules." His statement ushered in the Atomic Theory for the first time ever in the world, nearly 2500 years before John Dalton . Kanad has also described the dimension and motion of atoms and their chemical reactions with each other. The eminent historian, T.N. Colebrook , has said, "Compared to the scientists of Europe , Kanad and other Indian scientists were the global masters of this field."


NAGARJUNA (100 CE)

WIZARD OF CHEMICAL SCIENCE
He was an extraordinary wizard of science born in the nondescript village of Baluka in Madhya Pradesh . His dedicated research for twelve years produced maiden discoveries and inventions in the faculties of chemistry and metallurgy. Textual masterpieces like " Ras Ratnakar ," "Rashrudaya" and "Rasendramangal" are his renowned contributions to the science of chemistry. Where the medieval alchemists of England failed, Nagarjuna had discovered the alchemy of transmuting base metals into gold. As the author of medical books like "Arogyamanjari" and "Yogasar," he also made significant contributions to the field of curative medicine. Because of his profound scholarliness and versatile knowledge, he was appointed as Chancellor of the famous University of Nalanda . Nagarjuna's milestone discoveries impress and astonish the scientists of today.

ACHARYA CHARAK (600 BCE)

FATHER OF MEDICINE
Acharya Charak has been crowned as the Father of Medicine. His renowned work, the " Charak Samhita ", is considered as an encyclopedia of Ayurveda. His principles, diagoneses, and cures retain their potency and truth even after a couple of millennia. When the science of anatomy was confused with different theories in Europe , Acharya Charak revealed through his innate genius and enquiries the facts on human anatomy, embryology, pharmacology, blood circulation and diseases like diabetes, tuberculosis, heart disease, etc. In the " Charak Samhita " he has described the medicinal qualities and functions of 100,000 herbal plants. He has emphasized the influence of diet and activity on mind and body. He has proved the correlation of spirituality and physical health contributed greatly to diagnostic and curative sciences. He has also prescribed and ethical charter for medical practitioners two centuries prior to the Hippocratic oath. Through his genius and intuition, Acharya Charak made landmark contributions to Ayurvedal. He forever remains etched in the annals of history as one of the greatest and noblest of rishi-scientists.


ACHARYA SUSHRUT (600 BCE)

FATHER OF PLASTIC SURGERY
A genius who has been glowingly recognized in the annals of medical science. Born to sage Vishwamitra, Acharya Sudhrut details the first ever surgery procedures in " Sushrut Samhita ," a unique encyclopedia of surgery. He is venerated as the father of plastic surgery and the science of anesthesia. When surgery was in its infancy in Europe , Sushrut was performing Rhinoplasty (restoration of a damaged nose) and other challenging operations. In the " Sushrut Samhita ," he prescribes treatment for twelve types of fractures and six types of dislocations. His details on human embryology are simply amazing. Sushrut used 125 types of surgical instruments including scalpels, lancets, needles, Cathers and rectal speculums; mostly designed from the jaws of animals and birds. He has also described a number of stitching methods; the use of horse's hair as thread and fibers of bark. In the " Sushrut Samhita ," and fibers of bark. In the " Sushrut Samhita ," he details 300 types of operations. The ancient Indians were the pioneers in amputation, caesarian and cranial surgeries. Acharya Sushrut was a giant in the arena of medical science.


VARAHAMIHIR (499-587 CE)

EMINENT ASTROLOGER AND ASTRONOMERA
Renowned astrologer and astronomer who was honored with a special decoration and status as one of the nine gems in the court of King Vikramaditya in Avanti ( Ujjain ). Varahamihir's book "panchsiddhant" holds a prominent place in the realm of astronomy. He notes that the moon and planets are lustrous not because of their own light but due to sunlight. In the " Bruhad Samhita " and " Bruhad Jatak ," he has revealed his discoveries in the domains of geography, constellation, science, botany and animal science. In his treatise on botanical science, Varamihir presents cures for various diseases afflicting plants and trees. The rishi-scientist survives through his unique contributions to the science of astrology and astronomy.


ACHARYA PATANJALI (200 BCE)

FATHER OF YOGA
The Science of Yoga is one of several unique contributions of India to the world. It seeks to discover and realize the ultimate Reality through yogic practices. Acharya Patanjali , the founder, hailed from the district of Gonda (Ganara) in Uttar Pradesh . He prescribed the control of prana (life breath) as the means to control the body, mind and soul. This subsequently rewards one with good health and inner happiness. Acharya Patanjali 's 84 yogic postures effectively enhance the efficiency of the respiratory, circulatory, nervous, digestive and endocrine systems and many other organs of the body. Yoga has eight limbs where Acharya Patanjali shows the attainment of the ultimate bliss of God in samadhi through the disciplines of: yam, niyam, asan, pranayam, pratyahar, dhyan and dharna. ACHARYA BHARADWAJ (800 BCE)

PIONEER OF AVIATION TECHNOLOGY
Acharya Bharadwaj had a hermitage in the holy city of Prayag and was an ordent apostle of Ayurveda and mechanical sciences. He authored the " Yantra Sarvasva " which includes astonishing and outstanding discoveries in aviation science, space science and flying machines. He has described three categories of flying machines: 1.) One that flies on earth from one place to another. 2.) One that travels from one planet to another. 3.) And One that travels from one universe to another. His designs and descriptions have impressed and amazed aviation engineers of today. His brilliance in aviation technology is further reflected through techniques described by him:
1.) Profound Secret: The technique to make a flying machine invisible through the application of sunlight and wind force.
2.) Living Secret: The technique to make an invisible space machine visible through the application of electrical force.
3.) Secret of Eavesdropping: The technique to listen to a conversation in another plane.
4.) Visual Secrets: The technique to see what's happening inside another plane.

ACHARYA KAPIL (3000 BCE)

Celebrated as the founder of Sankhya philosophy, Acharya Kapil is believed to have been born in 3000 BCE to the illustrious sage Kardam and Devhuti. He gifted the world with the Sankhya School of Thought. His pioneering work threw light on the nature and principles of the ultimate Soul (Purusha), primal matter (Prakruti) and creation. His concept of transformation of energy and profound commentaries on atma, non-atma and the subtle elements of the cosmos places him in an elite class of master achievers - incomparable to the discoveries of other cosmologists.
